Frequently Asked Questions

  • I support mothers in navigating the emotional changes that come with pregnancy, birth, and early parenting. This might include postpartum anxiety or depression, identity shifts, or relationship changes. My approach is compassionate and attachment-focused, which can help you feel emotionally supported, cared for and more grounded.

  • Absolutely. Many new mothers experience a sense of loss or disconnection from who they were before. Together, we can explore this transition with warmth and curiosity, helping you reconnect with yourself while finding balance in your new role as a mother.

  • Many mothers feel surprised by how overwhelming this transition can be. You’re not alone, the early months often bring intense emotions, exhaustion, and identity shifts. In therapy, we can explore these feelings with compassion and help you reconnect with yourself while adjusting to this new chapter.

  • Therapy offers a safe, caring, non-judgmental space, to share your experiences, whether you’re feeling sad, irritable, or guilty. Together, we’ll uncover what’s beneath those feelings, nurture and expand your emotional supports, and develop tools to help you feel more steady, calm, and connected.

  • Yes. It’s common for couples to feel more distant or easily triggered after a baby arrives. We can explore how to stay connected with each other through the stress and fatigue, communicate needs effectively, and rebuild closeness as partners and as new parents.

  • This is completely normal. This inner pressure is something many mothers experience. Therapy can help you uncover where that voice comes from, release the tension and the perfectionism, and build a kinder, more compassionate relationship with yourself as you move into this new role as a mother.

  • Yes. Motherhood can feel lonely, especially without nearby family or community support. In therapy, you’ll have a space where you can be heard, understood, and supported. Together, we’ll explore ways to build connection and create the kind of emotional and practical support that feels right for you.

  • Yes, in many cases this is possible, especially for new mothers in the postpartum period. We can create a calm, welcoming space where you can care for your baby while also taking time for yourself and getting the supportive care that you deserve.
